Question 1985 34.5 Airstream Motorhome

Does anyone know where I can go to find values on a 1985 34.5 Airstream Motorhome? I have located one in excellent shape but I can't find out how much to offer.

NADA has RV values, available in their Used Car(rv) Guide book, you might have to go to a dealer to see one- the web site goes back to 1986, so you can get a general idea there. I would suggest knock off 1000-1500 for the year model, but the added equipment (like banks power pack, exhaust brake, gear vendors transmission, etc.) can add much to the value. Also mileage is a big factor in value for the book. Check this site-

Also the RVTRADERONLINE site can run average values for those in their data base.
Third idea- some of the guys here that own the same model could give you a general idea if you have an ACCURATE description of condition. I have seen ranges from 10,000- 39,000 for the 345, all dependent on condition, and market awareness by the seller. Most in the 22000 and up range if nice.

Depending on condition, $18,000-$28,000. I would stay in the low 20's. I would only go mid-upper 20's if it's in really good shape and you just love it. Make sure to budget for a trip to Mystic Springs (Pensacola, FL) in April of 2003!

Keep a fix-up fund. These units (RV's) ALWAYS will need something.

Since it is now over 15 years, NADA doesn't list it and you probably can't get a loan anywhere. The fact that only cash buyers can buy it limits the pool and lowers the value. You could use the 1986 model as a guide. Most of these units were made loaded with just about every option. The rear queen (east-west) is popular but I like the corner double (more storage).

Condition is key! Tires, engine, skin, appliances, interior.

I love my 1985 345 some much I'm selling the house and buying a smaller one so I can keep the 345!
