What's the "wet weight" of a 1963 Bambi ?

I think I saw somewhere that the dry weight of a Bambi is 1850 lbs. But has anybody weighted a Bambi fully loaded for a weekend, water tanks full, propane full, fridge full.......

How many gallons do the water and black water tanks hold? I can probably estimate from there.

Hi! We just had our 1963 Bambi in for some work recently, and asked them to weigh our trailer as long as we were there. These are the numbers they gave us:
Hitch: 310
Roadside: 938
curbside: 936
Total: 2185
This was the dry weight, but we have two (empty at the time) propane tanks. They told us they weigh about 20lbs each empty, and about 40lbs each full. I think the water tank is 20 gallons, not sure about the black water tank. I hope this helps.

Hey Bambi1963,
Welcome.
I have wondered the same. I think the factory specs are listed at 1800 for a dry weight, but I think thats without anything in it. So it seems that the 2185 is a pretty good number. It's funny that when we have been camping, thats one of the questions that people always ask "what does it weigh".

Thanks for the numbers, that really helps slot. I think the last big variable will be the size of the water tanks, the black water tanks.

I think most folks wonder about the weight, cause all the publicity photos at the time had a bicycle pulling it. I for one am trying to develop a trailing arm axle/suspension
