Rear Cargo Carrier

We picked up this cargo carrier at a garage sale for $20. The Bambi is so darn small, we figured some extra carrying capacity would be a good thing. So, we welded a hitch to the rear of the frame and waahlaahh! we can carry more stuff.

You do great work! You really brought that exterior and body back to life, it looks great. I can't wait to see what you come up with for a modernized interior.

Beautiful work on your Bambi.

I also like the lines of an Airstream without the ugly air conditioner on top. We removed ours and mount a small 5,000 but/hr unit in the side window when we need it. Mostly it stays in the bottom of one of the closets. We are also now improving the side profile by removing the rusty box used to hold the waste tank. This was a real bone headed idea by Airstream in 1966.

Don't use your stove as a heater without having a window cracked open and certainly don't sleep with it operating. You might not wake up due to carbon monoxide.

How does an on demand water heater not need to be vented?

Sure wish that I had some of your aluminum metal working skills. Count yourself fortunate.

Thanks, Dan

Awesome Originality!

I am really enjoying the thread! Your trailer is a true one of a kind!

You made me laugh- after spending all that money on aluminum; you were concerned about buying steel rims

Thanks!
Shawn

Do you have any interior photos of your finished Bambi?
