Tim, Brad, or any others...

If you get a chance to post a close up of your water input and Schrader valve, I'd like to see it. From the description and after examining mine, I'm learning that some PO has modified it. :-(

Thanks in advance.

Howdy all -

California 61 Bambi 16TDSS1786 Manufactured in May 1961. Wasn't titled until the following year, so title calls it a 1962.

Hi All,

Just joined the club with a '63 Bambi here in sunny Cornwall in the far South West of England!

Ours is a beautiful Ohio van, in need of some TLC, and her number is 163T141. Sold originally by Liebzeit Mobile Homes of Appleton, Wisconsin.

Bought our first airstream 1963 Bambi

Hi Everyone,

Totally new to airstreams. Just put a deposit on a 1963 airstream bambi. It is still 99% original and in pretty good shape. Not much needs to be done to it.

Some things you should still check out.

All the exterior gaskets, on the doors and windows.

Axle condition, as torsion axle rubber rods only last about 25 years.

If the furnace and water heater are original, they both should be replaced.

The original water system was pressurized. That should be changed
to "demand".

Update the exterior lights to LED's.

The valves on steel LPG tanks would be way out of date, and should be replaced, ot replace the tanks.
