Bill,
I posted this just for you.
You better consider dumping your rig at a loss, before you sink any deeper. You got my number!

I might make someone feel a little better. I have owned my 82 model 1 year this month.

1 Battery
Alternator
Starter
Isolator
Tune Up

all other repairs have been my preference and not necessarily "required".
For example- there have been overall interior upgrades, new stereo, new curtains, redone caulking, re-striped, painted and restored storage locker interiors, painted exterior items(hitch, spare tire mount, etc), tuned generator, cleaned and painted battery trays, washed and waxed exterior a few times, painted chassis underneath, ran new wiring to air compressor, redid bathroom cauk, new rivets on the outside, new rivets to hold bathroom mirror, new window weep hole covers and so on.

Boy, has it been fun though!

Ok,

Here is my list from this year (so far).

new Referigdrator
new Alternator
engine Fan Cluch
engine themostat
Genset tune up
dash AC leak fixed and recharged
new kitchen sink and faucet with countertop
new cruise control
new gauges
new horns
added trans cooler
new house and coach batteries
installed battery disconnect switches
new 120 V power cord
new drapes
new LP Regulator
new carrier bearing
new u-joints
New exterior mirrors

And the list will continue to grow. I just chalk it up to owning a 26 year old coach. I have enjoyed it and will continue to keep it in good repair so it is ready to go when I am.

Thumbs up Hear, hear!

I too need some help with the following.
My '82 310 needs the vent cover under the driver's window. Mine is wrinkled as P.O. opened it and ran it into a pole. No too bad, but enought to make difference.

Long List....

In my case this would be a very long list.

just finished the exhaust and most of the chassis work. I guess the short list would be as follows:

Engine
New Carb/Intake setup
Jacobs Ignition with Ceramic Wires

Interior
Well we're in the beginning stages of a CCD makeover so I guess actually finishing it would be on my wish list

Systems
XP Media Center Box running everything (MP3, 5 channel sound, DVD's, Tuner, etc.)
2 LCD's; one up front one in rear.
GPS

Exterior
Polish and new paint around the bottom.

And that only leaves about 10,000 things left!

Window drain vents......

......the little rubber/plastic thingies with screen to drain the water from the window channels....... I need bunches of them....

but cheap.....I mean REAL cheap.

Or, alternatively, a suggestion of what to use in lieu of the "factory" drain.

MHers, this thread reminded me of an older one that Peter started on MH repairs.....so I combined them. I believe there is one other too if I can find it... that had some great ideas. I will keep searching.

My own wish list includes..a nicely built 502 or just a 454 with the best Carb, or FI, and new exhaust headers and system to the back...new flooring inside....new roof a/c shroud, one new wheel sim for the rear.
I could live without any of it but then it is a wish list

I wish I had enough time to do everything I plan to do. But summer is on the way and the days are getting warmer and longer.

........
I think the little screen inserts is what makes them so expensive . After all they do have a dual purpose: 1. to keep wildlife out and 2. to keep water inside the coach once they clog up...
