When did Catalytic Converters Show Up?

Does anyone know when catalytic converters started showing up on the AS MH's? I previously thought I was exempt from the KY State emissions test but was recently informed that the exemption cutoff is 18,000 lbs not 15,000 lbs so I have to take her in by the end of November. Nothing like the dreaded CA test....pretty basic testing but still a test to worry about.

I took a closer look at the exhaust this weekend and am realizing its another PO special. Not sure what is stock and what is made up. It runs well and gets good mileage so I'm hoping I'll pass but I have no idea if there used to be cats down there. I'd hate to find out the hard way.

On a side note...I can't wait to see the 17 year old kid in the testing center get my beast up to 2500 RPM on the dyno for the test!

They all seem to be different, but.......

I think my exhaust is stock (can't find any documentation that it was modified), and contains no cats. "Factory" headers to separate cylindrical mufflers (no external exhaust system crossover), and individual exhaust outlets on the right and left exiting just in front of the dual rear wheels.

SAme setup

Dennis - thanks for the reply!

Some of my pieces seem to be PO engineered but that's my basic setup too.
