Nice eyes, but I am more interested in all the goodies on the right side in those boxes

I'll let him know you like his eyes

Those boxes are mostly stuff that is supposed to be listed on ebay but that never seems to happen. The display case is full of Triumph TR6 parts waiting to be installed. I was looking for more shelf space in the shop and figured the empty display case would probably work well enough as a temporary solution

If someone needs tracking info on your package, please pm me. I tried to save myself some time by not forwarding it to everyone.

Mine arrived today! Thanks again!!

All looks good. One question though: The video, their website and the paper in the box states that they are filled with "durametal and synthetic fluid". Darned if it doesn't sound like the metal shot sliding around with no fluid.

I used them on my trailer years back and can't remember what they sounded like now.
Would be interested to hear what others hear.

Yes, I heard them too on the rears when I first got them, but I think without fluid it would be considerably louder...?? Once you get up to highway speed they will settle pretty much in one location to balance the assembly, so i doubt you would ever hear anything

Not at all worried about the noise since I have a Diesel engine sitting besides me! I was curious as to the abrasion of the beads on the aluminum with out the fluid.

company feedback to your question:

Peter,
All Centramatic balancers are mfg. the same with durametal, a hardened alloy similar to shot but 10 times harder, and a proprietary synthetic oil.
The sound can be deceiving, however it is steel shot and oil.

Thank you,

Both sets of Centramatics arrived yesterday

Now if only I had a running driving Argosy to see how well they work!

Glad to hear that, Brad. My thought is that by the time you get that baby on the Road, the centramatics will be the last thing you would think about...
I went to Houston this weekend to pick up a new project (an oh boy, what a project it is ), a 1997 30' Trailer.
I had to stop at a discount tire store to put new tires on the trailer and I carried a set of 200-221special (airstream trailer centramatics). When I slipped them on the drums, the tires guys came to take pictures and wanted to know all about them. You would think they see them more often.
But here is my experience with before and after new tires and centras on a Airstream trailer. I only had to pull 30 miles to the tire store, but I thought i was pulling a bucking horse. Yes, granted the tires were 10 years old, but after I pulled back on the Interstate, that trailer was smooth as silk behind me. Had to check a few times if it was still there
Here is the 310's new step sister and don't asked me about the frozen water lines, please

I think when I first get my Argosy running I'm going to leave the Centramatics off just to get a feel for how it rides without them. Should be an interesting comparison as the Argosy suspension front and rear will be totally new throughout with brand new tires.

That's a nice looking project trailer. Is it one of those projects where you buy low and sell high or is it going to be like my projects where you buy high and sell low?

When are you going to take on a Argosy or Classic project (other than your 310)?
