Great news Peter. Look forward to hopefully testing them out myself.

Cheers

Peter, thanks for hanging in there. I never worry about my checkbook balance anyway, it's the credit union that gets excited.

We will be in Montana where the 310 is for a week starting March 17 and probably buying new steer tires at that time, so two months would be perfect. If it's longer than that, I will give you a new shipping address in Texas.

Steve.

Ricky from Centramatric hand delivered the prototyp today and its good to go. Very nice tight fit.
2-3 weeks until they will ship out to everyone. When you install them make sure to use the predrilled holes that make them fit very tight. You don't want them to be installed off center by using the bigger holes!
I will deposit the checks this week.
If anyone else wants a set, speak up NOW.

I installed mine and took her for a spin.
Nothing really until you get around 30 -35 and then the front end smoothes out nicely. And all this with 10 year old tires and no weights on the rims. Yes, I know, but these tires show no sign of cracking and have maybe 2500 miles on them. I will replace them before I go on my next big trip, I promise.

I just received a set which I actually purchased from the Airstream Life store (I think I got their last set since they are no longer on their website). I was a little surprised because they are black. Every pic I've ever seen of a centramatic is aluminum. Anyone ever seen a black set?

You must be talking about the Trailer sets. Yes, they are black and readily available.
This thread is about the front Axle P-30 5 lug Airstream Motorhome Centramatics that were discontinued some years ago. We were fortunate to have the company make us a special batch.

One small correction....We were fortunate enough to have YOU run this down and hound the company into making us a special batch!

Placed order today with all the shipping addresses, so hopefully they will ship within a week.
Please remember to install them with the tight fitting stud holes and not the loose ones.
Got 1 cancellation, so if someone wants a set for the front, please pm me.
(you will unfortunately have to pay Texas sales tax, because the set is shipped to me first)
