I appreciate the double check! You wouldn't believe how many times I've ordered something only to find out it was the wrong part

Peter,

Just caught on to this discussion….

Not sure if these will fit my 370, but the 325 is a sure thing. Count me in for two sets if still possible. If they don't pan out for the 370, I'll make that set available to someone that missed the boat (who generally would be me.)

….And for future reference, the rear drive and tag use a different part that is still in production. Correct???

Thanks for all your efforts!!!

Charly

Im currently running the beads on my 310. Tires are about 1.5yo and the ride seems to be as expected from a 35yo bread truck chassis. No unusual vibrations that Im aware of but how would I know if Ive never driven one with the centramatics installed? What would you say is the biggest difference that the centramatics make in the feel of the rig going down the road? Are they installed to "cure" a vibration problem or is it more to enhance the feel of the ride where no perceived "problem" exists? There are so many factors involved in the way the rig feels. I dont want to miss the oportunity here but Im wondering if its money well spent if there is no perceived problem to begin with. Wish I had way to compare the ride with and without.

My response is only my personal opinion AND experience:
Tile/wheel vibration is a killer and it costs you money in tire, bearing, wheel and steering components. On top of that, Airstream rivets hate vibrations.
Many of the tire problems on trailers you read about are caused by an unbalanced tire/wheel assembly.
I would compare the driving experience with what you feel when you drive of the tire lot with $2000 worth of brand new michelin tires.
My research let me to believe that any of the beads on the market may cause serious problems to your tire or rim and in the worse case, cause an even greater imbalance due to lumping of the beads. The "Flat" road contact of the tire, negates the roundness they need to run in, causing them to constantly "bump"
If you are happy with the performance, stick (no pun intended) with it.
I will post this video again:

Hi Marcus, You already were part of the 10, got you covered.
Since you just had the 4 installed on the drive and tag axle, please share your experience with us.

Yes, Charly 400-417 for drive and tag and readily available from Tire Balancers, Tire Balancing, Wheel Balancer and Wheel Balancing from Centramatic
What chassis is the 370 and what tire size, 19.5 I would assume. You may have to call them to find out what you need. I seriously doubt the 400-406 will fit.
Should I just put you down for 1 ?

Hi Peter,

Just in case you didn't get my PM; Sign me up for one pair for my 325. I spoke with Centramatics, and this part will NOT fit my 370.

Thanks,

Charly
