Water Pump Replacement
89 345LE build on 88 P30, 454 with the Banks upgrade, presumably stock otherwise. Fan clutch has been replaced. I intend to remove the smog pump apparatus and convert everything to a serpentine belt.
Given the over 8500 GVW + age, there are no states in the SE that require the hardware & there is no inspection at all in SC, where it's licensed. I'm aware there are holes that require closing with a smog delete.
Radiator will be cleaned & upgraded by a local shop
Existing dual 10" electric AC fans function well
Questions:
Should I use a high volume water pump?
I'm considering adding a transmission cooler to front left of radiator
I will add an additional electric fan, should it be a pusher or puller?
This has been asked before, is the radiator rubber shroud surround available?
I'm obviously concerned about overheating.
How do I tell if the power steering pump should be replaced?
I want to get as much done as possible while the radiator is out. Are there other issues/fixes I should consider?
If these have been asked & answered, my apologies. My search results are not yielding satisfactory responses. To find 4 potential threads (18-100 pages each) & do searches on those threads, without producing answers, isn't working for me.

Master cylinder and hydroboost. You can get a repair kit, but I replaced the whole lot. I would do all the high pressure hoses which tend to fail. I think transmission cooler worthwhile to avoid future costly repairs.

There are two shrouds for the radiator. One is installed in front of the radiator to block air from flowing in above the radiator. You can see this shroud when you open the front engine cover. It's made of flexible 1/8" rubber sheet. This shroud was likely supplied by Airstream.
The other shroud is on the back side of the radiator and surrounds the mechanical fan. This shroud was supplied by GM when the P30 chassis shipped to Airstream.
If you are look looking for the one in front your best bet is to just make one yourself out of 1/8" sheet rubber. If you're looking for the shroud that covers the mechanical fan then I might have one that will work. When I scrapped the 86 345 I kept the fan shroud and it's currently stored up in my barn.

Also a good time to install a seven blade fan and ditch the 5 blade if it is still on. Regards, Bob

Might be worth thinking about installing that additional metal shroud/air deflector thing. I can’t recall where it actually goes or how easy it is to fit. It was in a GM Service bulletin retrofit to help reduce engine bay temps. I posted about it once but can actually find that post. There should be one on both sides but I suspect yours only has it on one per when it came out of the factory
