U-joint removal and installation

Need to put new U-joint on drive line. Have never done this before and looking for advice or anything I should look out for. I have a book that gives instructions they seem simple enough but ?
I need to remove the old one and install new.
It is the one that goes behind the transmission .Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jo

I am sure there are videos on youtube. It is easy to if you have watched it and if you have the tools. If in doubt, take the drive shaft and the joint to your local machine shop and they will do it. Don't buy cheap u-joints or you will be doing it again sooner than you would like. Around here it is about $10 or so to install the joint, $20 for both ends of the shaft. That can be a bargain if you don't have the right tools and/or one of the cups is really rusted in the yoke. Our local NAPA has a guy who does it in the shop. If you do it yourself make sure you mark the orientation of the shaft to the yokes and put it back in the same way. I'm not sure if your motor home has a center support bearing. If it does, make sure it is in good shape.

Thanks Bruce
I do have the center support bearing I call it a carrier bearing same thing right?
I think it looks ok but will take a closer look at it. Did not know about marking the yolks and the shaft. I will give a try if I can't do it there is a drive line shop in town I can take it to.

Success

Did the U-joint today .Went well. A friend stopped by and walked me through it. I was able to do it without pulling the driveline off.Just slid it out the side.
Friend also helped me get drive line back in place.Easier with 2 people.

I just replaced my u-joints. I rented this tool from Advance Auto. Its actually a ball joint removal tool but, it works great for u-joints. It doesn't cost anything to rent as long as you return it! I used the MOOG part #331 u-joints, I was impressed with the quality and they were reasonably priced.
