Taylor Plug Wires

Streamers,
I just did a partial tune up on our '86 345. I installed a set of Taylor Extreme Duty wires. WOW are they great! 10mm wire, nomex fire boots on plug end. Fantastic. They are on the pricy side ($180) but they should last a very long time.
Speaking of a long time, one of the things I replaced was the coil. The one I took out had a build date of 2/19/85. That would make it the original coil with 157000 miles!
And all I noticed was a very slight stumble pulling away from a stop.

Rob - put that coil in a museum...I've toasted three in the last four years.

I upgraded to the Accel 9000 wires a couple of years back. It made a big difference in that I was not replacing burnt up wires anymore.

I think a few moho owners have put in Jacobs with success as well.

Speaking of coils ,use a standard ignition blue streak premium coil .They
are superior to regular coils ,although the regular standard ign or echlin coils are very good. the blue streak has tremendouse spark energy and long life.
Be careful of the cheaper coils with a low price as they can work ,but are not wound internally with the same amount of windings, much less .sometimes using aluminum wire instead of copper.
