Sabotage or Rodent?

Getting ready for the State inspection, I cranked up the engine and smelled gas.
I pulled the dog house cover and found this on my TBI return line.


My TBI lines come off the back of the throttle body and go over the top of the transmission. They could be in reach of a critter sitting on the trany.
My supply line is a flex steel line, I figured the return would be safe.
Guess not!

The top "abrasion" did not leak.
This one did:

It's hard to know what caused that.

But it's a very good thing that you are attentive enough to have found it before it burned down your rig.

Good sniffing Wayne! You'll have it repaired in no time.

The gouges are in pairs and the width is to big for a squirrel, too small for a mouse and just right for my little terrorist saboteur.

Lacking in Hawks and outdoor cats, we have a over abundance of the critters in our back yard. Up until now they were cute, except the one that got inside the Motorhome and camped out last spring.

If they cant behave, It is time to escort them off the property.

That could have been a real nasty situation going down the road!

Wow! If you haven't already it might be time to inspect all accessible hoses and wiring to see what else they might have snacked on.

And, I understand sub-sonic ammo now outselling regular. So maybe that Volquartsen tricked-out Ruger 10/22 with a silencer. Instead. (Or both).
