Rooftop AC interior fan not working on 75 Argosy

Interior air fan barely spins. Wont even spin unless started by hand and then spins very slowly. Took motor to electric motor shop today and the tested it and found it to be defective. Sold me a new one of the same spec. Installed and the motor is doing the same thing. I went up and redid all the electrical connections so I know those are sound. I really hope I can solve this because the compressor blows ice cold and I would hate to have to replace the unit.

Any thoughts from anyone?

Thanks

What type of A/C is it????????????

Lots of different types out there that have very different components in them.

Just a thought......... did they bench test the 'new' motor to be sure that it was operational? If the old one tested 'bad' , then test the new one to be certain that it is good before installing. Always a good practice, as I see a fair number of new replacement parts that are 'bad' out of the box!

Original instructions say its an armstrong unit. Its on a 1975 Argosy. Yes they did bench test the new one and it fired right up so I know thats good.

Seems like I have 2 problem or had 2 problems. Motor (now fixed) and something else.

Look at the start or run capacitors.
