Question Resistance shifiting out of park

Anybody have any thoughts on what would give me resistance in shifting from park to R D or any other gears. Once out of park no problem.

I appreciate any input.

It's proabaly "Torque Lock". This is a condition where the weight of the vehicle is jamming the parking pawl in the transmission. Set the parking brake BEFORE shifting into Park and it shouldn't happen. If the vehicle is moving after the parking brake is set then you may have a problem with the rear brakes or the parking brake adjustment.

Thanks for your thoughts. I just had the rear brakes replaced so it probably has something to do with the brake job. I started having the problem right after the brake job.

Thanks again.
