Radiator Hoses for 454

Hi gang,
This is by far may favorite place on the web. Thanks.
I searched this forum for an answer to this question. No luck.

I Will soon need to source upper & lower Radiator hoses for my 310 with 454 engine.
Does anyone have a part numbers for these hoses?
If not part numbers, mabey some advice on which stores to go to and what to tell them about my rig.

Just walk into any auto parts store and ask for parts for a Chevy P30 with a 454

In fact that is one of the best things about owning an AS MH. YOu can get any auto parts you need at most parts stores and its usually in stock, and not expensive. The Napa that I go to in all cases has figured out the correct part number.

I agree, and have them look under the P30 or P32 chassis info if they can't easily locate an item.
I bought my hoses off the rack at NAPA. Also while you are doing the hoses, take the opportunity to flush out the radiator, and refill with a mix of distilled water, anti freeze and a coolant booster like "water wetter" or CRC (NAPA brand) coolant additive.

i purchased mine from auto zone a bit cheaper than the other parts stores. by goodyear or kelly springfield not sure .

I suggest no half measures.

Do them ALL. Replace the hoses that feed the heater core, water heater, and the water pump bypass. There may also be a hose that connects the filler and cap to the radiator.

If you are going to the effort to do the upper and lower hoses, an additional hour and a few more $$ and you can be assured the hoses will not let you down.

actually for mine the little filler neck hose was the first and only one to burst.

how about heater hose . in most motor home there is a remote heater under the couch that gets ignore, untill it rears its ugly head with anti freeze all over the floor. they do burst/ leak from time to time. you will see a post wanting to know how anti freeze is getting on my floor.

Yes dont forget this one. My remote heater once sprung a leak and I had to bypass it on the side of the highway. ( my wife didnt like the thought of hot anti freeze shooting all over her shoes.)
