Radiator hose clamps
Since it looks like I'll be pulling my radiator (again), I'm hoping for some recommendations on the best type of hose clamps for the reinstall. I don't want to use the cheapo clamps off the rack and would like something more substation.
What type do you fellas use for this and where do you typically buy them. I know there are a few different styles, can you give me your preferences?
Thank you fellas.
Mike

I like tower clamps or dual wire clamps.

Radiator hose clamps
Given space and access, stainless steel worm-gear clamps. Have found the wire ones flat not reliable when reused and tend to wear groves in the hoses, and I snag myself on their wire ends.

Ive seen one type worm drive where the slots were raised on one side for better grip. I think they may be OEM for some BMWs, don't know what they are called.
Thanks for the input so far!

The standard Aero-Seal clamps are what I would use. I hate the spring loaded things. Some of those just barely release when it is at the stop and are hard to get the hose off. The Aero-Seal clamps don't seem to work as well on small diameter hoses because the compression relaxes as the rubber takes a set. On radiator hoses, I never had a problem with them.
Mcmaster.com has everything but I bet you can get them cheaper on Amazon. Mcmaster better quality though.

If your Rad has plastic tanks and outlets DO NOT use anything but the factory style spring clamps.
The Factory spring clamp put even pressure on the hose and as the hose takes a set they maintain even pressure. You can buy a special tool that makes them easy to use otherwise its a pain.
Other types of clamps put uneven pressure on the hose and rad neck and will cause the neck to deform and even crack.
This is the tool you want. you can get it from Amazon , Sears and auto parts stores

My experience is that plastic radiator tanks will eventually crack. I expect you don't have plastic tanks. I ended up putting an all aluminum radiator in my Eclipse when the old tank cracked along the top. Just make sure that if you are using a hose barb that they are metal and not plastic. The plastic will compress and the hose will come off.

Stainless hose clamps. On most, the strap is stainless but the worm gear isn't.
The most important thing is don't over tighten them. You don't want the rubber squishing out of the slots.
