Choctawmel,
I admire your tenacity. Never Quit. Sometimes bad things happen despite our best efforts. Thank You for sharing this story. Next time I'm through Chocktaw, I would like to shake your hand.

If you do, I'll sure try to be there.

Looking at a way to pull Silver Bullet with my bicycle named 'Silver' or build a tow bar and pull it with my Dodge Cummins. Would pull it alright, but stopping may be a problem.

Use Drag chutes. They look cool and come in colors.

Good idea... I'll hitchhike home, load the welder and some scrap iron in the Dodge (to make a tow bar)then off the the Army-Navy store for some rigging

With all the 'stuff' stuffed in this poor thing, no room for a big enough anchor to help. I guess I'll just sit and wait for the motor to come back.

I hope your wait is a peaceful one, and that your patience with it all can be a time of comfort and relaxing preparation. It will be awesome after its installed and broken in. Still looking forward to shaking your hand. Let us know how it progresses.

Would load a video for the Silver Bullet rolling down the road w/o the need for a wrecker again, but I'm now bright enough to get that done.

Bogart's RV Repair gave me the bill Friday afternoon on 6Fed. If took 2 guys 5 hours to remove it last month and then 3 1/2 days with two guys working on it to get the engine back in. The bill reflected that too! Ouch!

That day, drive to Tucson from Las Cruces. Varied the speed from 60-75mph. Set the cruise at about 62 then I'd run her up to 75 then decelerate back down to cruise. Brake in is done.

First tank of gas: 7.9mpg. Filled in Tucson then stayed at the A Bar A RV park. The water wasn't safe to drink. As I was taking the trash out the next morning I saw this terrible sight:

Look like it was someones 'project' from a while back. Has a 2000 Colorado tag and 6 going flat tires.

Filled again when I got to Parke AZ. Gas was 50 cents higher then in Tucson. Got 7.5 mpg. Ran at 66mph.

We're now in Parker. Have ridden my bicycle up and down, riding thru most of the RV park here in Park and haven't seen any AS motor home. Am I the only one out in these part?

Hope this will be the last adventurer with wreckers, blown engines, blown transmission for a long long time.

I was wondering how things were shaping up. Glad to hear that you're rolling along again. Too bad that MH is so far away, looks like a good project (from 25ft anyway).

Oh, any plans for posting pictures of you doing some burn-outs and donuts in the parking lot? That would be a great ending to this story.........
