P-30 chassis front cross member

When I dismantled the 345 I found that the front cross frame member was bolted in place instead of riveted. I checked the Argosy and the 310 and those are riveted in place. I did some googling and found in various RV forums where owners had ground the rivets out and bolted these cross members in place for ease of access from below. The fact that it had been done on the 345 leads me to believe it might be a common practice.

The cross member is circled in red in the first picture.

I'm considering doing this to the Argosy while I have the motor out. I can't think of any downside to doing this but thought I would check to make sure I'm not missing anything.

How about it, any thoughts?

Brad
