Onan carbureters with altitude adj. about year 2000

Onan 5500 changed the setup for carbs, checked everywhere and everybody said bowl can be opened if you pry altitude knob off bottom of bowl. NOT if it has been attached using a rivet designed as an extension of the altitude adjusting needle valve. At least now I have a clean bowl and can remove it by unscrewing cap I engineered to put the old one back together. Altitude doesn't change much here in Florida
