Thanks John...
For the record, the pic of the reaming of the primary shaft bushings is not the way I did it...
I looked at the reamer supplied... and realised that I could no way hold the reamer true and square enough by hand....
It occured to me that if I put the reamer in backward, the shank would guide it thru very accurately... But the shank was not long enough to pass thru the body...
Therefore, I would have to hold the normal "Business End" of the with the drill chuck, and spin it backward!
It worked great and I was feeling very clever and pleased with myself!

On throwing the packaging away, I felt something in the corner...
The instructions!
Reading them retrospectively... it explains that I did it correctly!

Now looking at the color I painted the carb... I am thinking Black would have been cooler...
If I dont change my mind...

Tomorrow I will get it all put back together!

Forgot to post an update on this thread with the carb and intake almost done.
Decide to repaint the Carb, and it looks pretty good to me now!
I also got an Edelbrock Performer 2.0 Aluminum Intake Manifold. The cast surfaces were stained, so that was painted too, although I am concerned about the fact the carb mounting face is 1" taller... Might not fit under the doghouse!
Anyway, for now, here is the finished deal.

With the banks Filter on..
