inverter

My 345 is an 85 model. Is there a rule of thumb on life expectancy of the inverter? Does anyone have a good source for replacements?

If its a univolt; ,any of ours are still working well after 20+ years. There are threads here discussing the Intellipower and other replacements. Try the localsearch for that info. You can also see-"similar threads" below on this page...

Depending on the converter or inverter use, age or like was it buit on a Monday or a Friday there is no way to tell how long it will last. The more high end inverters usually have a better life span than a cheap unit. However when the manufacturer stops supporting your particular unit and it dies, you have no choice but to get a new one. If you are proficient in repairing them and you can get off the shelf parts, and the parts price don't exceed 50% of a new one, there is almost no limit how long you can keep them going.
