Im having trouble to get my mirrors to loosen so I can adjust them its frozen. Is this a normal problem.

Hey John! I'm not sure what you have for mirrors so I'll work on the basis that you have Ramco power mirrors. They have a big allen head bolt that can be loosened from below the arm.
Access is wide open from the bottom at the mounting on the body.
They are stout and can be pretty tight. I know this from experience as I had to extend my curb side a bit.

I assume you are referring to the arms. They tend to sieze in the brakets and are really hard to move. The other problem is the set cap screw on the bottom will strip out and then there's little you can do. I had all those problems and finally installed the Ramco mirrors and that solved all my problems. They are great. The difference in visibility on the sides and rear is well worth the money and labor.

I got home from Florida today and in the stack of mail was my new Stepvan Parts Catalog from www.millsupply.com . I notice amongst other things some inexpensive heated mirrors. While these are not power they are a cheap fix for the older style mirrors.
