Unbolt the oil filter adapter. You may also have to reach in and unbolt the pickup tube for the oil pump.

Yup.. he's right.

You have to get a wrench in there and losen the 1/2 bolts (i think) and get the pickup tube to fall in the oil pan to lower it down.

I am wondering if anyone has installed a large capacity , deep oil pan on a 345, 454 V8 and what is all involved ?

Summit racing has a Kit with a deep pan and performance Pump.
