Headers on 7.4L

I was wanting to replace the headers/well the whole exhaust system as I know my muffler has a leak around one of the welds and the headers are looking pretty rough as well. I would to run true duals since my exhaust has been moved to the left and brackets are still in place from when it was on the right. I was lookin in the jegs mag and found a set of hedmans that were listed as class a bb chevy headers....

Anyone ever done this or had it done???

I just finished replacing my exhaust system in my 28' Excella. Make sure you get the headers for the motor homes. They have the extra thick flanges and ceramic coating. I put on the Hedmans and the 70 series mufflers that I got from Summit. Doug Thorley headers are also a good choice. You might also want to go with an "H" pipe as well if you are going to go back to duals.

Think about wraping your starter and/or puting in a remote solenoid as there will be a lot of heat near the starter.

Good luck with your project.

I will second the Banks stainless headers. Put the Power-pack on my 95 454
Burb and was well pleased with the results. 165k in snowy-salty western NY, The only fault I found were the mild steel clamps which I changed out at install. For all I know the new kits may have all stainless now.

This is one very good US product, with excellent customer service>
