European road trip - parts help!

Hi all,

I need to order a few parts in advance of our major European road trip this Summer. I need a new master cylinder and want to get a new starter as I think mine is playing up. Would you mind giving me a few pointers because I need to ship them from the US to England and don't want to make any mistakes!

as the correct replacement. It looks to be correct for my 1991 Airstream 250 Classic, but has anyone used this part or equivalent on the 1989-1992 series with the burgundy or blue stripes?

I'm minded to go for a stock replacement which I think is this part:

Can anyone confirm that this is the correct piece and do I need any additional parts e.g. brackets or gaskets/heatshields?

You need one that is for IFS(Independant Front Suspension, Dual rear wheel, and 4 wheel disc brakes)
Also looks like CARDONE 13-1668 is a remanufactured MC, for same application..

Nick and Helen. I fully agree with Peter. I believe an aftermarket gear reduction starter is THE way to go. If you get on e-bay you'll find many to choose from starting at the same cost at a factory AC Delco replacement. Less than $100. I'm sure the quality isn't as good as the mean green starters, but they are 1/3 the cost. I'm ordering up one for my 454 today. Heat soak is a big issue for GM vehicles and this spaces the solenoid away from the headers, helping to alleviate slow starts (heat soak). IMO well worth the cost.
