Brad
I can say for certain these bulb housings do NOT fit the single bulb Argosy motorhomes or any other vehicle that uses the 7" bulbs. The profile where it sits in the headlight housing is all wrong. I don't know what the manufacturer was thinking when he made these but the don't fit vehicles with the 7" headlights that were made from the 70s and earlier.

Well just so I dont let this thing die.......I got the acdelco voltage regulator today and it was wrong. So I finally called Haimlton Engine repair and they were able to source me one out of Ohio. The correct part number for our Isuzu 6bd1 voltage regulator is 894202581-0. Thats the Isuzu number not the Denso. Im just going to call Hamilton first from now on, geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzz, I searched for days and couldnt find that thing. They have over 60 in stock. When dealing with Hamilton you will need your serial number off your engine block. I had mine already written down but they will ask for it. Its bern 3 yrs since I found mine but I believe its on the drivers side, stamped on the block just above the oil pan.

A bit pricey, $68.00 USD, but man, I dont even care at this point. I Googled that part number and got ONE HIT for a chinese supplier that was out of stock. When I hit "images" it showed exactly one picture. I really found it hard to believe that there wasnt more info on the forums, maybe they just dont wear out very often. For some reason I thought its a good idea to have a spare on hand while on the road. They are a mechanical device.

I believe that price includes shipping but cant be too much even if it doesnt. Here is a pic of the aftermarket regulator from the other supplier that is out of stock. Click image for larger version

It seems that on these Isuzu industrial motors that they tie the regulator part to the individual alternator. Rather than listing the regulator to an specific vehicle or piece of equipment. They even refer to it as " alternator regulator" in the name of the part. In the pic you sent me, someone had reworked the wiring to the regulator because of the butt joint splices.

So now we have the part numbers for the oem alternator and regulator. (Smartstream had posted the correct alternator part number in a post from a few years ago). Another little quirk in the search for these electrical parts is that there is an Isuzu part number and the part manufacturer part number, in this case Nippondenso.

So hopefully now I will be carrying a spare of each on board the rig, (total cost for the both at right around $200.......not bad if indeed they both are correct). A little peace of mind anyway dont ya think?

You are right about having spares because you never know when it might be needed. And it will happen in the middle of no where.

When you get the reg check and see if the back side where the wires attach to the reg are the same as mine, My reg looks to be original I wonder if Airstream spliced the wires to match their system I haven't had a chance to look at another one.

Maybe you should look and see if yours has spliced wires then we would know.

I am going to have to get a reg because the plug on mine is in bad shape, The inside is burned and the wires won't stay in the plug.
