Are you absolutely sure the motor is "blown"?? Typically on these Isuzu 6bd1 motors, they are ruined only by one of two things; running without oil or a severe overheat.

If your motor is not salvageable you should check out this eBay posting:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1983-AIRSTREAM-310-MOTORHOME-DRIVER-SIDEFRONT-WINDSHIELD-WIPER-ARM-L-K-/151936080689?hash=item2360189b31:g:ZkcAAOSwFqJWh0r H&vxp=mtr[/url]

He lists a motor among his 310 parts for sale.

You can see a picture of my 310 (also with a blown motor) being transported on page 4 of this thread:

Good luck!

@Bamaforlife

Sorry for your luck. As I live in Canada I can't help you with your search but I do wish you all the best.

Mayco and I have the same motor and any info would be helpful.

Did the mechanic give you any possible cause? Bad oil, wrong oil?
What kind of mileage did you have on the motor?

It looks like it spun a bearing versus throwing a rod. If it's just a bearing then the block should be fine; or not? Is the block salvageable?

Cheers
Tony
