Question 1975 Argosy MH 454 proper spark plug gap?

Hello all! I have a 1975 Argosy motor home on the p30 chassis with a 454 engine. Does anyone know the proper spark plug gap? The AC Delco plugs I bought came in at 0.056". TIA for the help.

My 454 in our 86 345 specifies .045". The specs are on the air cleaner label. Any Arg owners out there know if the gaps are the same?

Hello ,

the plug gap should indeed be .045 gap ,You may have been sold the wrong plugs . Have your parts guy double check the part # to be sure ,the heat range needs to be right , wrong plug ,wrong heat range too. That gap is an unusual size ,sometimes .060 gap is shown as correct.Pickup a haynes (brand) repair manual very good book ,check the specifications as listed for a 454 truck heavy duty service or p30 chassis.
