Here it is removed and the first step of polishing done.
2nd photo, the VIN and larger letters and border are taped off. Make sure you have a very sharp exacto blade for that step.

1) Painted with Rustoleum Royal Blue
2) Tape removed
3) Paint painstakingly removed from the emblem and smallest lettering. The secret is to go slow and use the tip of the exacto blade.

Thanks Don. We're happy with the way it turned out.

I hesitated for awhile as I wasn't quite sure how to do it and have it turn out looking good. I finally pulled it off so I could finish compounding the curb side of the trailer. Here's hoping I get the streetside compounded before Beverly Beach!

Sprinklers are already water spotting . Need to adjust the heads - I just put the sprinklers in this year.

Thanks Marc -
I was installing the new breakaway switch, and forgot the window was slightly open to allow some airflow. I found the exact corner of the window
Nobody else was home. I skipped the hospital as I opted for a high deductible (lower monthly payments). Emergency room costs an extra $1,000 just to walk thru the doors. Still has fresh blood a couple hours later, I'll see how it is in the morning.

OW! MY head hurts just thinking about that! Yikes! Probably too late now, but there is a glue out there for skin lacerations... I'm just not sure if it's available over the counter or not.

Don't use Vulkum! : >

On the serious side... have you had a recent tetnus shot? If not, I'd call your doc in the morning and get one. Make sure it's clean. Any temps/fever.. or reddness at the site, get thee to the doc pronto!

Ok, enough of the overprotective nurse.
Take care!

There is no greater dedication than giving blood to an Airstream project. Hope you are healing.

Happy Dance time

Searched long and hard to find just the right fabric - it had to match the GreatPumpkin and be vintage style. It measures out at 9' x 15'. I had a family friend with a heavyduty machine sew it for us. She did a great job. (Shameless plug for them - see their website: Cuddlemewarm)

Here's the results:

Rope tightners started as scraps of oak:

Finished product:

Did a lot of research here on the forums, saw a lot of good ideas. Shari's (InsideOut) thread was probably the most inspiring. http://www.airforums.com/forums/148244-post119.html

Love the look of the awning. It sure suits the trailer.
