wiper motor replacement

Has anyone found a replacement wiper motor for the 2001 Ford chassis? XL355.
A/S claims I need an entire assembly not just the motor.

Thanks,
Phil

The motor will have a stamp on it. You should be able to match it up.

If not, and you have the motor out, take it to an electrical shop, (starter, alternator, motor shop)

They should be able to repair or offer opinion on purchase. It is probably a common motor?

Have you tried NAPA? Take the motor with you for them to match up.

Dave

This may be useful to others; I found a replacement motor @ AM Equipment, Jefferson, Or. It's their Pt. No 238 12v Left Hand Dynamic Park. You'll also need their connector. 1/2 the price from an A/S dealer.

The catch is : all replacement motors now have a smaller spline shaft than the original motor. Therefore a new pantograph link arm is required. That I ordered from A/S and the part came from American Technology, Elkhart, IN. Their pn AW 69610. I don't know if they will accept direct orders and avoid the A/S price mark up. If you have questions, email me @ boalmjpd@gmail.com
