Where's good spot for mirror remote?

Just got my Ramco remote mirrors from Ramco themselves. They sell direct to customers now.

The remote switch is hecka big! I'd say it's about 2" x 3" total dimension, taking into account the mounting plate that goes with it. Without the plate, it is 2"x2" square. So I'm wondering where is the best location to place it? I have plenty of room on the dash instrument panel and that general area. I had wanted it to be on the driver's side sill or on that side of the wall. I know some of you have these mirrors, so what installations have been done out there? Thanks.

Mine is on the left by the pillar, but not in the mount panel from them. Did you get heated? If so don't forget that switch. They draw less than 3 amps so a small toggle or rocker is all you need.

I got the model 9000, which is the black plastic remote with the flat panel top remote and the bottom convex manual. They also make the all aluminum brushed or chromed model 6000, and they can be heated and have the turn signals on them too for an upgrade fee. My budget allowed for the remote only 9000.
