Where to find MH A/C Parts?

1999 30' Land Yacht. Our A/C has stopped working and apparently needs some new switches (high and low pressure). But unable to find any specs giving the nomenclature of these switches. Wish that I could narrow this description down, but . . . . .Any leads on this, or supply source(s) would be helpful.

That would probably be a Spartan chassis. Most of the workings are direct from GM. You should be able to remove the switches, and search for replacements using the production numbers on them.

Any "bus" AC joint worth their salt can help. I have locals who work on all sorts of "undocumented" AC systems, with near perfect results.

Then again, this is Texas.

Many thanks. I'm hopeful that this, plus some schematics I found in the Airstream owner's manual as well as the Acme resource, get's me back on the road with a functioning AC.

Please post results, especially source and parts that fixed, rv repair shop fixed mine a couple of years ago by replacing compressor, it worked but said it would never match a car a/c due to volume needed. When I suggested a larger output unit they scoffed and said had to use standard. It is having a problem again and the parts they didn't replace is probably the cause. the warranty period is over and shop changed owners.

Your dash air on any motorhome will only be comfortable if you can control to some extent, the area being cooled.

Some type of barrier curtain is a must to be comfortable on those long drives into the afternoon sun.

The system does not have to be complicated, but it should go to the ceiling, and should overlap at your entrance so that it slows the air exchange with the main body of the motorhome.

I run with the bylevel Air, on MAX. but the fan speed set to slow, once the cabin is initially cooled down. It is quiet, comfortable, and the barrier curtains are only pulled back all the way when the TV is to be watched.
