Lightbulb To replace rear airbags on Classic 350 w/Tag Axle

Hello,

The rear Airbags on my Airtsream Classic 350 '91 (Motorhome) are full of crack and need urgently to be replaced.

The RV is with Tag Axle and is fitted with an Superide model 8050 from American Carrier.

I got the new airbags directly from American Carrier.

Now that I would like to start this job, I see that the bold on the upper side of the airbags are verry difficult to reach.

Do any body have some manual or directive in order to replace the rear airbags ??

Thank you for your help

Stefan

'93 360 with Superide 8050

I know this is an older post, but I thought I would give it a try. Do you happen to know which airbag was used for your 8050 carrier? Mine are in bad shape (I am surprised they are still holding air) and at the price, I would rather not order the wrong ones

From what I have found, most everyone is calling for the Firestone WO1-358-5412, but I wasn't sure if that was the same from the 8015 carrier to the 8050.

Thanks,
Tim

5412 is the correct part for the P-30 based motorhomes, i don't know about the spartan chassis 360s.

You might post in his thread and ask the part numbers

Thanks, though his axle set up is completely different than mine. Mine is based of the P30 chassis with the Henschen tag axle. It just threw me this morning when I climbed under and the carrier was different number.

Thanks,
Tim

If it's a p-30 i think they all use the same airbags
I wasn't aware they made 36' P-30 units, I had only seen diesel pushers. Do you have any pictures? I'm curious what it looks like

From what I had read, the diesel pushers in '93 were 34' or 36' long. However there was still a 36' based on the P-30. Though, I am learning all of this in the last few months as I have delved into the project.
