side mirrors

I know some of you have replaced your side mirrors. Did oyu find that the mounting bracket was a standard truck size? In lookig for replacemnts I see lots of "universal" sized mirror replacements, with screw in mounts. Ebay has a number listed, just not sure of the "universal" ability for our motorhomes.
Mine are the single stalk mounted with a 4 screw bracket- and they are worn- losing the silvering.

Alan,

These mirrors are of the type that airstream put on newer model motorhomes.

They are available in remote contol and heated models.

I belive the mounting bases will be larger that the ones you have now, so the old holes would be covered by the plate. I would fill the old holes with rivets.

I am sure that if you call Ramco they can tell you base plate size.

You are going to keep the mounting bracket, right?
Keep me posted, if you find the correct mirror only.

I replaced one, and it is silver or chrome colored but it vibrates as you go down the road, where as the orginal one does not. I bought it at Auto Zone. They only carry one at a time for some reason. about 8 or 10 dollars.
