Shower "door" leak

Since the trailer was new, I have noticed water getting into the toilet area when the shower is used. I assumed the water came from not closing the shower enclosure fast enough. So I decided to add some tub sealing tape (Home Depot) at the various wall/floor interfaces in the toilet area. My idea was to prevent any water escaping from the shower from going places where it could eventually rot the subfloor.

I did that, and in the process had a close look at the bottom of the shower door track. I found that it had not been properly caulked; there was about 4" where there was zero caulking. That's where the water was exiting the shower. Anyway, I figured that some of you folks with recently built units may have the same problem and not know it. Seems like a good way to prevent those downstream problems with rot.

Quality control

I'm puzzled by these lapses in quality control at Airstream.

Caulking seems to be one of the weak spots, I still have various gobs on the roof including a gob on the vent cover for my rear Fantastic Fan.

My AC drip tube connection had gobs of sealer where it connected to the pan and still leaked because the sealer hadn't bonded to the plastic.
