"Class B+" is a marketing gimmick, not an actual class of motorhome. Mainly because "Class B+" sounds a lot better than "Class C-" which is an equally accurate nomenclature for that particular size. Class A is built on a chassis (like the Winnebago Via on a Sprinter chassis), Class B is a conversion van (like the Interstate and others), and Class C is built on a cab/chassis (like the new Leisure vans as well as the Winnebago View). Leisure Vans doesn't do conversion vans anymore, so it's not any kind of B, no matter what they call it.

I for one would like to see Airstream make a "Class B+" on a Sprinter cab/chassis. Not being limited by the Sptinter's 6½' overall width would allow a much more ergonomic floor plan. And because it wouldn't have to be built "ship-in-a-bottle" style inside the existing van body would make construction a lot less expensive, too— not to mention that buying cab/chassis from MB instead of whole cargo vans to convert would save Airstream money on the front end, too.

You know what else would make an interesting base for a Class B? The Toyota Coaster minibus, which has also been built as a hybrid/electric since 1997. But I have yet to see a Coaster used anywhere in the US except as an airport shuttle.

I read awhile ago that the Serenity and Libero models were originally called Class B when introduced by LTV. Later when Triple E purchased LTV, the term B+ appeared.

Had we seen a LTV Serenity first, I suspect we would not have our AS luggable today.

OOPS wrong letter..they called them Class C at first, then the marketing change to B+ and I believe they are now back to C.

The Leisure Van is one nice looking coach. I looked at their website and could not determine if I could pull a toad with it. Either the Chevy or Ford chassis solves one of my problems.

DECISION MADE!!!! For a lot of reasons, not to go into here, a decision has been made. I am waiting for the 2017 F-250, diesel, and the 2017 25 rear bedroom. Probably will get the International Serenity. Will be late summer before I am able to get them both and get them set up like I want. 50 gallon fuel tank, 16inch tires and wheels. Glad the decision is made and I can now stop thinking about all the options.
