1st ever Airstream Motorhome???

My Mom sure knows how much I dearly love Airstreams, and even more-so Airstream Motorhomes. Just received this link about the 80th Anniversary for Airstream. This photo was one that was included in the web page. Interesting, love to know more about the motorhome. Wonder who that is standing at the door???

Thanks, Derek

It appears that it's a Hunt House Car. I found that out by searching on the text that's painted on the shell... "Miss Sheila" "Hollywood". It took me to (drumroll please) an old AIRForums entry!

Instead of painting the Airstream green they should have painted the truck silver

We ran across that motorhome and the trailer it tows at the Antelope Island Stampede Labor Day weekend last September. It was built by and still owned by a very nice young man who flys powered parachutes. He did all of the work himself. It is an Argosy grafted onto the GMC chassis. The trailer is also an Argosy with the window openings filled and the back hinged to make a toy hauler. The motorhome layout is the original Argosy and inside the trailer you can see some of his flying equipment.

It's the first motorhome I ever really really really wanted. Hmmm.....

I would probably change the color, but still!

Does it count as an Airstream if it was homemade out of Airstream parts?
