As I'm working on her to get ger ready for my trip to WA next week, my neighbor across the street backed out of his driveway and into my MH. It was LOUD! My poor cat, Silver, was in there and it freaked out.

The MH was hit just behind the left front grill, under my new Ramco side view remote mirrors. Now it's got a deep dent in the aluminum. He said not to worry because he's got insurance and I know where he lives. Even though he was trying to be jovial, I know he was feeling bad, as was I. He said he's not used to anything being parked there. Oh well. Luckily I had the low beam headlights out of their pods because I'm replacing with new ones, and the right wiring was all spliced up and shorting. Otherwise I think the left one would have been smashed.

I wonder if at repair they'll have to pull out the whole side of her?

too bad, sorry to hear about it. But if no framing damage, it would seem a new panel would have to be riveted on to replace what was dented.

Pulling it out like ypu do with steel and smoothing with bondo just won't work on aluminum. Is the plastic skirting not damaged? That might be harder to repair than the aluminum.

Bummer, hate to hear of your damage. Just hope you can go on your trip and get it fixed when you go back. That damage will make good conversation with others while camping.

Sounds like it is only 1 panel affected. Like Alan said, check the plastic and trim strip for damage. There isn't much behind this, if the floor (pretty high up) inside isn't damaged it is probably limited to what you see. Notice that this goes under the side window and windshield. These will probably be the biggest headache.

John
