Arkansas -April or Tennessee would be our vote. Would not want to attend a Rally during the months of June, July of August any were south of Iowa...Our MH dash air is not functioning as of yet.
I realize sacrifices have to made...but all day driving in a hot rig is just misery with small kids, not a sacrifice.
Resurecting this thread due to the Corporate Gods, in all of their wisdom, think one is able to lock in a vacation for the year on January first.
'Course it never works out as planned.
Nevertheless, maybe a place and date could be set so that we all could work toward attending next spring.
I think the Forum agrees that anywhere South of the Mason - Dixon Line should be not be considered May through September.
It also seems that, except for Texas, most of the potential participants are East of the Mississippi River.
Possible venues:
1.) Ozarks (Hot Springs Arkansas/Branson South Missouri)
2.) Mystic Springs, Florida (Pensacola)
3.) Cades Cove / Gatlinburg, TN Area (Reservations Problem)
4.) Top of Georgia? Could possible exceptions to the WBCCI requirement be obtained for participants?
5.) Minn., Mich., Wisc.,- Before or after the Oshkosh, Wisconsin Fly-In (July-Aug).
Maybe we could run concurent polls:
Proposed Length (long weekend or week?)
Proposed Date- Maybe the week before/after Easter (April 11)
Perhaps we could poll possible participants, enabling a "spreadsheet" sort of vote with choices 1, 2, and 3 (weighted votes) indicating the places and times acceptable.

well my sons gets April 5-9 2004 for Spring Holidays
we also visit with family during that week. a weekend visit might be possible.
June was mention in an earlier post and that might receive a better response. the weather should be stable and there could be a longer list of places to select from and a week long event might be a better choice in June than April.

swebster and I spoke the other night when he was in town, about an early June Nashville get together. He feels like some of the Ohio and kentuck and Indiana folk might make it, as well as those in the South not too terribly far from there. For me its about 4 hours. I would like to do it, and whether or not we make it a Motorhome event or a forums event is up to y'all.
How about it? Camping World is down the street, and we can all go see my foot prints in cement at the Country Music Wax Museum and Hall of Shame,,er Fame

Rallys twice a year..Lots of fun, food, and aluminum.
well, Steve and I talked about early June, maybe the week after Memorial Day. Lots of kids still in school up north so might be less traffic on the road, but also might mean some can't come then. If there are enough of us to make it worth while it will still be a fun weekend. Seems even two of the ripgs together causes a stir.
As for the footprints---music fans can check it out here....
if cades cove is a problem try this camp ground near cades cove in wears valley. with a little planning reservations could be made. http://www.tennissippi.com/.

New Dates For The Official Airstream Homecoming Festival Announced!
Join us Wednesday, June 2nd through Sunday, June 6th 2004 at the Airstream Homecoming Festival in Jackson Center, Ohio. Open to all Airstream Owners, there will be plenty of food, entertainment and family fun. You can even test drive and tow a new Airstream!
We had two motorhome rallies at Mystic Springs on the first weekend in April. It pretty much fizzled after that. We had 7 at the first one and 5 at the second. Folks are all over the county so it is hard to have a single rally. It was fun though to have so many together in one place.
