take names and locations

Last year I was very disappointed to miss the Mystic Springs MH Rally. I had just purchased my 310 and a must fix part did not get in so I sat at home.

My reason for this post is that with an advance date, plans can be made and a better chance of people showing up should result.

Locations have been mentioned, dates suggested, can someone who knows how put a vote and reservation list on our
thread? The home bases of attendees will be critical to see if a national or a regional rally is practical....jem

another thought

why not leave the 2004 rally at mystic springs and plan a rally to happen with the unveiling of the new classic. I think you said that was to be in 2005. when will the unveiling be????

this way you get the fun of planning two rallies .

Just a few miles of I-40 some 60 Miles west of Little Rock
Beautiful State Park, fishing, golfing and a lot more to do and see around Hot Springs National Park. A gooood days drive from Atlanta, Austin, New Orleans, Kansas City, St. Louis ...
This is an area well worth spending some vacation time.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park, Arkansas

I think Mystic Springs was ok but we need another venue.
If we can generate eough interest and suggestions for locatin I will post a poll to choose.
As for the new Classic no word from Airstream as I can tell, but I will email the guy that is in the design team, and mention the rally concept to him for what it is worth....(or he might read this and PM me.....)
I like that idea....and maybe it would bring the masses of Classic MH owners.

March/April is usually very nice, with warm days and cool nights and the occasional rain shower.
The biggest problem is that everyone would like it to be in their backyard.
But whats a rally without some real suffering to get there. Imagine all the stories about clogged fuel filters and mysterious electrical problems we could share around the camp fire.

If you run out of money, a trip to the Crater of Diamonds Sate Park near Murfreesboro some 50 miles away will solve that.
Or if you want to get down and dirty, you could plan a trip to one of the many crystal mines around Hot Springs and Mount Ida.

I like the Arkansas/Tennessee/Natchez ideas since......

Jellybean III is relocating to Jackson, MS next month! The coprorate godfather made me an offer I couldn't refuse!

We did drive briefly on Natchez trace for a few miles and thought what a great RV trip it would be! I will be living in Jellybean III (a.k.a. "Solar Cooker I") as temporary housing while my house in Florida sells.

Late summer sounds good to me!

We've been sitting back and watching this thread. We are WBCCI unit officers this year, and have committments running October 2003 through International 2004. I am also a WBCCI region chairperson and have extra committments at the May 2004 Region 3 rally.

We almost certainly can't attend an April rally if it's more than 8 hours away from us in central FL. But an August rally would be great for us.

We enjoyed the first two MH rallies and hate the thought of missing the third. I agree with wb13798 and vote for a late summer rally.

well I will cast a vote for Arkansas if we can do it in late June or early July. I have to be back at work full time on Aug 4 so that kills August for me.
