LP tanks

Time to start gathering infomation for my next project!

I don't know about the rest of you but on my MH the LP Gauge is only correct for 1 day. The day it gets filled. Whenever I push the LP level switch on the Monitor panel it shows full.

Can the sending unit be replaced, where do I get this done. I do not want to run out of propane when I am out on a trip or at a limited electric rally.

you mean the gauge on thre panel inside?
Is there also the round gauge at the tank itself?

The gauge I am referencing is the one on the Argosy control panel inside. There is a little round dial gauge on the tank as well but the pointer is broken off.

So I am assuming I need to have the tank based one replaced so I can get a proper level on one or both gauges.

I would bet the tank mounted gauge would be a much less costly replacement.
Also my experience has been ( and in cold weather)
that the gas usage is much slower than I would have expected.
I filled my tank to the allowable limit in December, and did three trips all using the furnace and stove, and still have almost 1/2 tank left. The former Ohio based owners said the tank would last them a year or more.

I guess I am a bit paranoid coming from a travel trailer that automatically switched tanks, living in WI and traveling year round.

I have run out before and don't want to again!
