Thumbs up I got a new mattress for MH toady

The 10yr old mattress that came with my MH was shot.
So I bought a very nice new Sealy pillow-top today.

It's real nice, but looks so small
A MH queen is 60wide and only 74" long and a regular queen is 80" long. I didn't have the extra lenght so I got a full size (54x74), man that thing looks narrow. Now there's a gap between the mattress and the night stands. I guess I can put some magazine holders in there (thinking positive, eh)

I've got a two day trip this weekend, I'll let you know how it sleeps.

Don
PS: Up side is nice new sheets fit perfect !

That's called an RV Queen

And you're right, they're 60 x 74, but they're readily available. Most mattress factories carry them, and most mattress suppliers can order them if they don't have them in stock.

You are right too. But no one around here has them, and most don't know they can order them either. I did find one place that could special order a MH mattress, but it would have to be hand built and take 1 to 2 months.

So if this full size doesn't work out I'll order another one and use the full in a guest bedroom. I'll know tonight when I use it for the first time

Mattress update

Well after two nights in my new bed I can say the Sealy plush pillow top it's great
I gave up 6" in mattress width, but gained 6" in walking around space. Now I don't have to turn sideways, putting on sheets or making up the bed is much easier, and the sheets fit better. But most importantly is feels soooo good

Most of the time we think bigger is better, but in this case smaller worked out perfect, I'm glad I went with the full size now.

One happy camper
Don
