Question how to replace '70s tail light unit

I would like to remove my old tail lights and replace with new "Grote-bargman" wrap around (new style) lights.
I can't figure out how to remove the tail light assembly. Is it glued to the skin

q,

I believe they are mounted with studs or screws from the inside, beneath the inner skin, probably impossible to get off without a lot of work or damage. I have repaired the sockets on the individual lamp housings on mine, the whole individual lamp units are still available from InlandRV if you need to replace them as well. You can remove them. They are attached from the inside with screws but you can get to the threaded insert and screw end by removing the lense. Take a healthy pair of pliers or channelocks and try to damage the screw ends/insert as much as you can and the whole lamp will come out of the bezel. Just put the new ones back in with 3/16 rivets, very easy to do.
