Disconnect Drive Shaft

Does anyone know of a different manufacturer of a Disconnect Drive Shaft?

I am aware of the Remco product.
My problem is I own a 2 WD 2004 Jeep Liberty and Remco is not selling the disconnect shaft due to the fact Remco has discovered that the aftermarket kit causes intolerable vibrations.

I have seen many Libertys being towed.

Just as I had decided to bite the 700 dollar bullet, I see Remco will not sell the unit.

Any help in this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Another option

Ken;
With a new two wheel drive Jeep and no Remco drive shaft disconnect purchasable, have you considered pulling a tow trailer for the Jeep. Drive the Jeep up on the trailer and drive to the rally! At least you could keep the same vehicle and could back up the motorhome/trailer rig with the trailer attached (as opposed to towing a towed 4 down and no back up). It may be your least expensive way out right now.

Solutions

Well, I called Remco and asked them if they had corrected technical problems with their DDS for tha Jeep Liberty.

Yes and no, If you have one of two different shafts, they will sell you the whole assembly for $849.00

So, I have decided to take up my Pa in-law offer to utilize his spare SUV, an Isuzu Rodeo.

He is not concerned with the appearance and it is a manual transmission. I will be buying the tow brackets that fit the Rodeo and pull that for a awhile, should cost less than 1.5k for everything.

For the record:
Eagle 8000 tow bar, used, 400 dollars
Blue OX surge brake assembly, new 450 dollars
Lighting wiring kit, new, 100 dollars
Tow Brackets for vehicle, new, 250-350 dollars

Very expensive habit............................
