Can I pull a 1980 Ford Courier Pickup???

Hi,

I have searched the forums over and am more confused about the toad issue than I was before I started so I figured the best bet was just to ask the question, so....

Can I pull a 1980 Ford Courier pickup truck behind my 1982 Turbo Diesel 280 Motorhome on four wheels??? The little truck is 2wd, manual, and the title says it weighs 2600 lbs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sandi

The rated tow weight for your MH is 2000 pounds. But many of us tow vehicles in the 2200-2500 range, some quite a bit more.

The Courier should be flat towable.

Go for it!!!

I towed a 1984 Ford Ranger from Tampa to Ft Worth to Deadwood, SD back to tampa with absalutely NO problems . I did not use a Brake Buddy or any other system on my toad and had to make a few extreme stops and had no problem with control. Now , this was just MY experience with My 1984 Excella 270

Ps I drove semi's long haul for over 20 years and have a habit of leaving room tween me and the guy up front of me.

The diesel will give you more torque and better towing ability than a gas engine. You should be O.K.
