California Emissions

Wondering if my new MH is going to pass the CA Smog Check. Anyone out there have any experience? I have the option of registering it at my In-Law's in TN, I would not have to smog it there, but I imagine it would complicate the Insurance issue.

My '92 passed easily. It is a 454 with fuel injection. 454s are very
common with parts readily available. Unless it has been highly modified, it will probably be ok.

I am worried about ours passing as well.
We have a '82 280 m/h with a 454, and an 'air pump' that has been disconnected by the PO. Last year it passed just fine, but this year Texas has the new more strict requirements. All gas powered cars & trucks have to be run on the 'dyno' type machine. I know that the heavier vehicles have a higher acceptable level of emmissions but I don't know if all original equipment emmissions gear is required to work properly or not.
If I can get by for 3 more years I don't have to worry about it. Vehicles that are more than 24 years old are exempt from the emmissions test.

in Georgia Vehicles over a certain weight are exempt so I lucked out, although we do go back 25 years on vehicle age.
Of course they do charge ad valorem tax on the motorhome which is outrageous.
