Blind side detector

We have placed a fiberglass box on a hitch on our Interstate. It has rendered the blind side assist and rear warning system useless. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I don't think there is and fix or change you can make to get the assist back if you carry anything near the sensors. So yes removing the box is probably your only solution if you want the assist to work. It's just physics. 😄
