I take back what I saiid about the converter being dead. I took it out and tested it with the little knowledge I have and it seems to be producing 14 vdc. Now I think when looking at the fuse panel if I have power on the top one(50 amp fuse) on the left side of the Converter going into fuse box I have 14 vdc, I should have 14 one the other side, correct?

When i put the converter back in and pluged it in it hummed as always and I reached up and turned the exaust fan and it ran. So I then turned the overhead lights and the fan stoped. Went back to the fuse box and moved the wires on the right of the panel and the fan came on again. Now all this was done with out battery hook up. So my conclusion is the converter is working. The fan runs on 12vdc and no batteries were hooked up so the converter must be working. If I have a bad fuse clip, where do I get a new one? Is this a speciality item that cost 25.00 for a 10 cent part?

Al you might have been right, let me know where you got your fuse clip.

Paul.

Talking

Good News Good News!!

I now have lights and power 12dc inside while pluged into shore power YEAAAA!

The Problem was a bad lose 50 amp fuse clip.

I would like to thank all who responded to my plea for help. I can now go camping WEEEEEE! Your help led me in the right direction. I was getting ready to call camping world, and I mean ready had the purchase order from the director of finance (my wife) the phone number in hand and something made me go out one more time and check the fuse box. Thats when I turned on the over head fan (because I was hot) and realized, hey why is working, not hooked up to battery only shore power hey the converter does work and the rest is history. Figured it out and it had not cost me a dime. Yet......
Again thanks to all who had input. I went to look at other threads concerning this problem read and read and learned something. Man I feel good thaks again.

Paul

Congratulations!

Once money is budgeted it must be spent! I can think of many ways to spend the cost of a new converter on MH stuff.
