Yes, the next generation of drain system is a pair of "hidden trench drains", I will post a picture as soon as I get the floor finished with an explanation on the how's and whys behind them.

As far as more wood, I love the idea, I have a portable sawmill and make all my own wood for almost everything, I love wood and cannot get enough of it, but...
My wife likes more of the clean modern theme so we are compromising on the wood curved walls and everything else the way she wants it...which will be grey penny tile with black grout...until she changes her mind.

I love the idea of a slatted matt / floor made of wood, that would be really cool.

I collect bits of wood wherever we camp and that is what I have been using to mill for different things in our 310, I just grabbed some pecan and Cypress on my way through Louisiana and Mississippi, Sitka Spruce up in AK, we have an endless supply of most hardwoods at home. this will all be made into the dash or maybe something in the bedroom, kitchen cabinets, who knows.

Everyone knows I never wear my stilettos camping...sheesh.

Curt

I suspect disguising the drain not to look like a drain might be a cosmetic consideration also.

An idea: as long as the Mrs (or you ) donít wear high heels, maybe continuing the wood theme of the sink area across the floor with some type of patterned teak flooring with gaps would work(?)

Brave man; I never go camping without my stilettos, as hitting a bear over the head with pumps just pisses them off.

Cheers
